JLS Promotes Newcome to Vice President of Sales

JLS Automation promoted Mike Newcome to vice president of sales. In his new role, Newcome will continue to manage a number of selected major accounts and develop targeted business opportunities with new markets and technologies. In addition, he will oversee all sales operations and strategy, including all current sales staff and growing the team overall.

Newcome was previously director of sales, Central U.S. and Canada at JLS and holds several years of experience in packaging sales and management, including experience in food, beverage and personal care with a strong focus on case packing and robotic automation systems.

“Mike has been an integral part of our team since joining us in 2016,” said Craig Souser, JLS president and CEO. “Mike’s experience with secondary packaging is an asset to JLS and his success during his time leading the central region, combined with his strategic mindset and leadership skills, make this an easy move for our organization. We look forward to the future of JLS as Mike moves into this important role.”

Prior to JLS, Newcome was director of sales for the Central U.S. and Canada region for Hartness International. He has a bachelor’s degree from Miami University (Ohio) and will be based out of Chicago, Ill.
