Texas Tech University Jerry S. Rawls College of Business presented its Distinguished Alumni Award to Toshiba America Business Solutions President and Chief Executive Officer Larry White.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor the Rawls College of Business can bestow upon its alumni.  This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a record of distinguished service and extraordinary achievement in their chosen field.  Honorees have made a positive impact on both Rawls College and Texas Tech, serving as an inspiration to current students and alumni.

“Larry’s exceptional achievements and contributions to the business world have made us incredibly proud,” says Rawls College of Business Dean Margaret L. Williams.  “His journey, from a BBA in Marketing here at the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business to the role of President and CEO at Toshiba America Business Solutions, is a testament to the quality of education and opportunities our college provides.  We are honored to recognize Larry for his outstanding accomplishments and to celebrate his inspiring career trajectory.”

Upon receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rawls College, White began positively impacting the business technology industry.  Today, as the president and CEO of Toshiba America Business Solutions, he sets and oversees the strategic direction and operations of the company, encompassing five divisions.

“Becoming a Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business Distinguished Alumni Award honoree is a career highlight,” states White.  “Throughout my life, I have leaned upon the foundational business precepts and knowledge I learned at Texas Tech in virtually every aspect of my career.”

Other notable Rawls College graduates include Robert Taylor (former United Supermarkets chief executive officer), Wendy Masiello (Lt. Gen., USAF [Retired]), Linda Zukauckas (independent board member and the former chief financial officer of Nielsen Holdings), Texas Tech University System Regents Dustin Womble and Cody Campbell as well as Texas Tech University System Chancellor Emeritus Kent Hance.
