TC Transcontinental Packaging Showcases Shelf-Impact and Sustainable Coffee Packaging Solutions at SCA Specialty Coffee Association
TC Transcontinental Packaging, a leader in flexible packaging, will showcase its leadership in shelf-impact and sustainable coffee packaging solutions at the Specialty Coffee Expo, April 25-28 in Houston, Texas. TC Transcontinental Packaging representatives are available for interviews at the show, BOOTH 2201, during the show at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
As a leader in the development of compostable flexible films for coffee, TC Transcontinental Packaging will showcase its compostable coffee lidding and mother bags for single-serve solutions, according to Rebecca Casey, SVP Sales and Strategic Marketing, TC Transcontinental Packaging. “As well, we are highlighting recycle ready flexible films for coffee packaging, engineered to be a high-performing film structure that offers product protection and an environmental option. This development underscores our unwavering commitment to driving progress in sustainable packaging and setting new standards for the industry,” said Casey.
TC Transcontinental Packaging will also display its Coffee Flat-Bottom pouch with soft-touch matte coating, highlighting its expertise in packaging designs that provide shelf impact and brand presence. The soft touch matte coatings “premiumize” the look of the package and therefore the brand.
“Through our continued innovation, TC Transcontinental Packaging is leading the industry with traditional, compostable and recycle-ready structures for coffee,” said Casey. “Our packages communicate the brand attributes consumers are craving, including convenience, premium products, comfort, familiarity, and a commitment to sustainability. Regardless, if it is a traditional structure or a sustainable one, we are expert at reproducing no-sacrifice graphics that stand out at retail.”
This is important as consumers are increasingly interested in ethically and sustainably sourced coffee, with a focus on both ingredient sourcing and packaging. Mintel’s report, A Year of Innovation in Coffee 2024 recommends brands link sustainability to positive experiences, illustrate how sustainable choices contribute to consumer well-being, and emphasize brand dedication to realistically help consumers be more ethical in their coffee consumption/packaging disposal.
