SienaBlü Group Selected by the United Nations as a Participant in the Global Sustainability Compact
Sustainable packaging design firm SienaBlü announced the company’s selection as a participant in the United Nations Global Compact.
Companies selected for participation by the United Nations (UN) showcase the compact’s ten principles on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. SienaBlü is a leader in the design of retail, promotional and private label packaging for lifestyle brands. The company designs and manufactures customized packaging, bags and salon products designed to help companies meet these sustainable packaging goals.
“The cosmetics industry is transforming rapidly as consumers increasingly demand transparency and sustainability in the products they use on a daily basis,” said Chris Papp, founder, SienaBlü. “We are proud to partner with some of the biggest names in the beauty industry, from Henkel to Groupe Marcelle Cosmetics, as we create sustainable packaging solutions like compostable makeup brushes designed to reduce waste and elevate the company’s brand and commitment to sustainability.”
As part of SienaBlü’s own commitment to sustainable business practices, the company is reportedly partnering with Bullfrog Power to offset emissions with the purchase of green electricity from wind and low-impact hydro power generation.
In addition, SienaBlü is reportedly committed to ethical sourcing, partnering with global suppliers that meet strict standards and align with the company’s values and sustainable business goals. By streamlining production outputs and implementing new technologies and practices to reduce waste, SienaBlü is an industry-leader in business sustainability.
SienaBlü was awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Certificate for excellence in environment, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurement over the past three years.
