Shanghai World of Packaging Returns in November 2024

Jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., Shanghai World of Packaging (swop) will return to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from November 18 – 20, 2024. As a member of the Messe Düsseldorf interpack alliance portfolio, swop will present all segments of the packaging industry – from machinery and materials to logistics and recycling. National and international exhibitors (including China, Germany, Japan and the UK) are expected to showcase their products on about 65,000 square meters of exhibition space.

New forum for food processing and intelligent manufacturing

The new cooperation with the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST) will attract professionals from the Chinese food sector to swop 2024. The cooperation will also mark the debut of the “Food Processing and Intelligent Manufacturing Zone”, focusing on innovative processing technologies and packaging solutions for food producers. The forum will cover a number of current topics, including artificial intelligence, food big data, image analysis of food, machine learning as well as intelligent manufacturing, nutrition, safety and quality control.

In addition, swop 2024 will again feature the SAVE FOOD Forum with the SAVE FOOD Design Award and the Sustainability Design Award. The awards will emphasize the importance of sustainability in packaging design, particularly in the fight against food waste and loss, and provide participating exhibitors with added visibility.

Focus on market drivers

The comprehensive ancillary program at swop 2024, consisting of networking, lectures and special exhibitions, will offer exhibitors an additional opportunity to present their products and innovations, exchange knowledge, establish valuable contacts and open up new business opportunities. The “Smart Packaging Zone” with the motto “intelligence, digitalization, personalization” will present innovative packaging technologies and smart factories. The “Green Power Zone” will focus on sustainable and recyclable materials and provide  a platform to discuss packaging trends. There is also a matchmaking platform for intense, personal talks between exhibitors and users, supported by comprehensive global visitor data and a continually growing base of purchasers.

Exhibitors can still register

swop 2024 will offer international companies the opportunity to meet influential industry leaders, gain insights into the up-and-coming-Asian market and form strategic business partnerships. Exhibitors can still register for swop 2024 – one of the easiest and most convenient ways to participate is in the International Pavilion with an all-inclusive package.

At swop 2024, all relevant market segments and trends will be addressed, making it a must go to event for representatives from renowned brands such as like Mars, Heinz, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Nestlé, Häagen-Dazs, Danone, Pepsi, Bayer, L’Oréal, Dior, Nivea, P&G and Unilever.
