Sergio Farfan Joins AICC Mexico as Executive Director

AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, announces that Sergio  Farfan has joined the AICC Mexico team as Executive Director, effective January 1st.

AICC Mexico Chairman, Pedro Aguirre, President of Tecnologia de Carton, remarks, “Sergio taking on this role underscores the dynamic nature of the industry in Mexico. There is a definite need for the services that AICC provides to its members to be delivered effectively at the local level.”

Sergio has 32 years of experience in the packaging industry, most recently as the Executive Director of the Mexican Association of Containerboard Producers, also known as ANFEC, for the past 12 years.

In addition to his position ANFEC, Sergio has worked for GRUPO VITRO, in the glass container division; GRUPO ZAPATA, in the corporate division for the packaging business; and he also worked independently in his own company, FROSIC, in logistics, distribution and sales of recycled materials.

Additionally, Sergio worked for GRUPO GOMSA, as head of the Customs Office in Mexico City’s International Airport; and in the Financial & Project investments for BANAMEX, granting international credits to national and international companies.

AICC President, Steve Young comment, “I know you will all share my enthusiasm for having Sergio with us.”
