Releaf Paper Triumphs as Winner of ThePackHub Inaugural Packaging Startup Awards

Releaf Paper, the world’s pioneering producer of paper from fallen leaves, proudly emerged as the winner in the Alternative Materials category at ThePackHub’s inaugural Packaging Startup Awards 2023. This prestigious event, sponsored by Ocado, was held as part of London Packaging Week on Friday, 22nd September.

A distinguished panel of 15 judges, comprising brand owners and retailers with lots of packaging industry expertise, rigorously evaluated the submissions. This year’s competition attracted an impressive 94 entries from around the globe, spread across six categories: alternative materials, connected packaging, increased functionality, online, refill and re-use, waste reduction.

Paul Jenkins, Managing Director of ThePackHub, and Laura Fernandez, Senior Packaging Sustainability Manager at Ocado Retail, had the honour of announcing the winners.
