PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, is proud to announce its partnership with prominent equipment manufacturer companies in the upcoming Minnesota Manufactured Statewide Tour of Manufacturing. Coinciding with Minnesota Manufacturing Month (October) this event offers an exclusive opportunity for the public, including families, schools, and community groups, to gain firsthand insights into the intricate processes behind the creation of everyday products.

With manufacturing serving as a cornerstone of Minnesota’s economy, impacting over 30% of its job market, according to the Department of Employment and Economic Development, the state takes immense pride in showcasing advancements achieved in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.

PMMI’s partnership extends to some of the industry’s leading names in the Twin Cities area, including Accraply, Beckhoff Automation, Delkor Systems, Delta Modtech, MGS Machine, and Straub Design. During this event (Oct. 9–13), these PMMI member companies are opening their doors and welcoming visitors on guided tours of their facilities, providing a unique opportunity to delve into the realm of packaging.

In the Twin Cities Metropolitan area, a thriving community of packaging-focused companies drives innovation in industries such as baking and snacks, beverages, household goods, personal care products, and pharmaceuticals.

“Our goal is to expose the next generation to the technologies that are used to manufacture products we use every day and the machines that help bring them to market,” says Amy Elfering, Spokesperson for Delta Modtech.”This event offers a valuable opportunity for youth, families, and job seekers to witness firsthand the dynamic world of manufacturing and its essential role in our lives.”
