Matrix Named North American Master Distributor for Cetec Industrie

A new partnership between Matrix and French-based Cetec Industrie gives customers larger bag sizes for greater selection and packaging flexibility to meet future demands.

Matrix Packaging Machinery, a ProMach brand, is now the North American master distributor of Cetec Industrie, a French-based flexible bagging equipment OEM that specializes in filling bags with a weight capacity of up to 50lbs.

The partnership with Cetec Industrie positions Matrix to offer customers a more comprehensive solution for applications calling for product to fill larger bags between 10lbs and 50lbs. Common applications for larger bag sizes include pet care (pet food/cat litter), bird seed, gardening supplies (fertilizer, dirt, mulch), building supplies (salt, water softener), laundry detergent, food (rice, sugar, flour, grains) and others.

Sales of pet food in North America topped out at more than $42 billion in 2020, according to market and consumer data analyzer Statista. And a sizable portion of those products are sold in larger bags – which is an area Cetec Industrie’s machinery has decades of proven experience. Their machinery can run a variety of pre-made bags, including paper, plastic, polypro, and recycled materials. This gives pet care manufacturers of food, litter, and related products more flexibility and a wider range of bag styles and materials to best meet their needs.
