Matrix Demonstrates Efficient Parmesan Cheese VFFS Packaging in Booth 727 at CheeseExpo 2022

Matrix Packaging Machinery, a ProMach brand, will be demonstrating its vertical form fill seal expertise as part of a larger integrated line simulating the packaging of parmesan cheese into a larger bag in booth 727 at CheeseExpo, April 13-14, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Matrix is an industry-leading manufacturer of vertical form fill seal machines operating widely throughout the dairy, cheese, and other industries. In addition, Matrix is the North American master distributor of global flexible packaging brands INVpack, Pacraft, and Cetec Industrie.

At the heart of the integrated packaging line is a Matrix Premier Elete vertical form fill seal machine, which is ideal for customers who require more hygienic attributes in their packaging machine. The Elete Premier features a stainless steel, sanitary design with all major components, including fasteners, bearings, shafts, and motors suitable for washdown environments. The machine can produce several different bag sizes, such as pillow, gusset, quad, and flat bottom with a variety of films, including recyclable, at filling rates up to 120 bags per minute.

CheeseExpo attendees will see a simulated parmesan cheese line from start to finish. First, cheese passes through a Spee-Dee stainless steel auger, where it is then packaged on the Matrix Elete Premier vertical form fill seal machine. From there, cheese travels on a conveyor from Benchmark, a ProMach brand, and then is inspected on a checkweigher from WIPOTEC.

Show attendees will notice just how small of a footprint an integrated line of this size really is; it does not take up a lot of space in a facility, and it can be made more compact if necessary.

This fully functional integrated packaging line is a great example of ProMach bringing its product brands closer together to better meet the needs of its customers. Projects like this allow customers to have one central point of contact, and that contact really serves as a one-stop, full-service provider by connecting all the ProMach brands together. This level of project management greatly streamlines the planning process, installation, and start-up curve for packaging lines.

Forty-four packaging and automation-focused companies comprise the ProMach family of product brands in categories including Systems & Integration, Filling, Bottling & Capping, Decorative Labeling, Flexibles & Trays, Handling & Sterilization, Labeling & Coding, Robotics & End of Line, and Pharma.

Matrix is exhibiting with other ProMach brands (Benchmark, ID Technology, Shuttleworth, and Quest Industrial) together in booth 727. Plan to visit Matrix at CheeseExpo 2022 to see the integrated packaging line and what the power of the ProMach family of brands can do for your next packaging project.
