ITW Hartness Announces Jeffery Miller as New Vice President & General Manager

ITW Hartness, a division of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) and leading manufacturer of secondary packaging solutions, welcomes new Vice President and General Manager, Jeffery Miller.

Jeff joins the division with more than six years of ITW experience, following a 20-year tenure at Whirlpool. At ITW, he has held several commercial and engineering roles of increasing responsibility across the Appliance Components and Construction Products segments, most recently serving as the General Manager for Construction Products Canada where he helped grow company revenues by more than 20%. While at Whirlpool, Jeff served in roles across engineering, operations, and product development in North America, Europe, and globally.

Now responsible for leading ITW Hartness – part of the Specialty Products segment – Jeff’s reputation for delivering results through continuous learning, collaborative leadership, and effective execution makes this a strong move for the company.

“We are excited to have Jeff leading the ITW Hartness team. He is highly regarded for his ability to drive business results and is a great cultural fit for the division. We look forward to the momentum he brings,” said Shawn Welch, ITW Group President for the Packaging Equipment and Consumables platform.

As a leader, Jeff is passionate about the ITW core values and his experience leveraging ITW’s proven business model will help ITW Hartness continue to deliver above-market growth with industry-leading operating margin. Creating a strong culture of teamwork and shared risk is also important to Jeff as he has led previous divisions through talent realignment to simplify work and improve focus on key customer segments.

Newly relocated to Greenville, South Carolina where the company is headquartered, Jeff and his wife, Misty, enjoy hiking, running, and traveling in their spare time. They look forward to experiencing all the South Carolina upstate has to offer.
