Industry Relies on Leading Trade Fair: interpack 2023 Already 85 Percent Booked

The registration phase for the next interpack trade fair in 2023 was set to open in autumn of this year. However, due to the pandemic-related cancellation of interpack 2020, which was initially postponed to spring 2021 and then canceled, the exhibitors that had already registered had the one-off opportunity to re-book for the upcoming interpack, which was widely used.

Together with new registrations from other companies, the exhibitor bookings received by mid-August already account for 85 percent of the available space. interpack will be held from May 4 – 10, 2023 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

According to feedback from the industry, the pandemic showed that digital alternative events were seen as a plus that provided added value, but meeting in person at a trade fair is irreplaceable in terms of generating new contacts and building trust, which is extremely important.

In addition, many companies demonstrate technically complex machinery and systems at interpack, and these need detailed explanation and are often appraised by potential customers while in operation at interpack. The customers also benefit from the opportunity to directly compare solutions from different providers.

For 2023, interpack is also pursuing its claim as the leading international trade show for the packaging sector and related processing industry and is underlining this with the new brand slogan “Simply Unique”.

“The uniqueness of interpack is primarily characterized by the unparalleled diversity of the products and services that our exhibitors offer, but it is rounded off by our special themes which pick up on the trends for the coming years,” said Thomas Dohse, project director, interpack. “In 2023, sustainability in all its facets will be even more significant than in previous years, which means that we will address this complex of topics in cooperation with our partners. In addition to these impressive in-person offers, there will also be digital offerings.”

The details of individual special topics as well as additional digital offerings at interpack 2023 will be made public during the coming year.
