ICPF Announces Caitlin Salaverria as new President

The International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF), co-sponsored by AICC – The Independent Packaging Association and Fibre Box Association (FBA), today announced Caitlin Salaverria, Director of Marketing and Communications at FBA, will join ICPF as its new President. Salaverria will transition responsibilities and join ICPF full time on July 1, 2023. She succeeds Richard Flaherty, who retired in October after 16 years serving as ICPF’s President.

“I look forward to leading ICPF and taking on the necessary and important responsibility of growing the corrugated packaging industry’s labor force. I’m excited to expand the work ICPF is doing by building partnerships with the education community, establishing relationships with local governments and apprenticeship programs and developing marketing/communications tools to promote the many benefits of choosing a career in corrugated packaging.”

Salaverria brings industry experience to ICPF, having worked in FBA’s marketing department for the past 12 years where she enhanced FBA’s general communications, developed the strategy for paid and organic social media advertising efforts, cultivated relationships with other industry associations, managed committee work and initiated partnerships for ICPF with career organizations.

“On behalf of the ICPF board, we are pleased to welcome Caitlin as ICPF’s new President,” said Tim Bergwall, Greif Senior Vice President, Group President, Paper Packaging and ICPF Chairman. “ICPF has received generous support and funding over the years from industry companies and we look forward to Caitlin’s efforts to use those contributions in meaningful ways to attract new talent.”
