Rinco Ultrasonics Earns CE Mark for FPA Series Ultrasonic Pouch Sealing Systems

DANBURY, Conn, April 23, 2014 – Rinco Ultrasonics, a leading manufacturer of ultrasonic welding equipment, has announced that its FPA series of ultrasonic pouch sealing systems has earned the CE (Conformité Européenne) mark which demonstrates compliance with numerous EC directives. The CE marking is required for many products and demonstrates compliance with EU safety, health, and environmental requirements and allows Rinco to sell its FPA series of ultrasonic systems throughout the European region.

“This is an important achievement which enables us to grow our business in Europe,” said Gordon Hull, managing director of Rinco Ultrasonics. “By meeting these regional market demands, we plan to further expand our OEM and end user base.” As part of the CE compliance, Rinco was required to carry out a conformity assessment, set up a technical file, and issue the EC Declaration of Conformity.

The company’s new FPA series of ultrasonic pouch sealing systems elevate ultrasonic welding to a new performance level, enabling users to increase seal strength, improve aesthetics, and broaden the processing window versus competitive ultrasonic sealing and heat sealing processes. The systems target flexible packaging for dry and liquid foods, personal care items, electronics, and medical products.
