Ossid Introduces the New 8000M Medical Device Thermoform/Fill/Seal Machine

Ossid, a product brand of ProMach, introduces the 8000M medical device thermoform, fill, and seal (tf/f/s)machine. This new packaging machine delivers quality packaging at high output and uptime.

The 8000M’s transparent polycarbonate shell facilitates a safe 360-degree view of key operations for fast problem resolution. The 8000M platform combined with custom features for every application produces a robust tf/f/s machine that will run trouble free for years at up to 30 indexes per minute.

Based on early customer interest, the 8000M will be mainly used for Dupont™ Tyvek® sterilized medical device film packaging. This machine can also be used for foil-foil, semi-rigid, rigid, ambient, vacuum, modified atmosphere, and re-closeable packaging.

Every machine is built in the U.S. by the same team that works directly with the customer on its design and manufacture. Close communication between the people building the machine and the customer ultimately lead to complex engineering issues being resolved early to the customer’s overall benefit. The 8000M is a platform, not a one size fits all tf/f/s solution.

While Rockwell controls are standard, customers may specify the control system of their choice. The same customization is available for the printers, vision systems, loaders and unloaders and more. The rugged stainless-steel frame ensures a stable and sanitary automation platform. Servo drive technology conserves energy and contributes to precise motion.  Open programming means it is easy for customers to make software changes as new contingencies arise. The intuitive human machine interface is designed for today’s workforce.

Shortly after the video of the 8000M tf/f/s machine was posted on the Ossid website, medical device manufacturers that hadn’t worked with the company before inquired about the capabilities of this new generation packaging machine with the unobstructed 360-degree view of key processes.
