We chatted with President, CEO and Managing Member, Joe McDonnell of For Life Products. Packaging Technology Today: Why is packaging so important to your brand?
McDonnell: I am passionate about developing “Best in Class” products that suit the needs of the consumer… every day. These products provide satisfaction to the user in knowing they can clean and restore any boating surface to brand new again and keep them looking new again with little or no effort at all.

PTT: How and why did you choose flexible packaging to package your products?
McDonnell: As an avid boater for the past 15 years, I know the problems with stowing bottles and seeing them break open and cleaners go everywhere due to the waves and movement. There are also the space concerns that drove us to look at flexible packaging. The benefit is crystal clear. The flexible aspect of the bottles allows them to nest together, which keeps them from tumbling over while at the same time taking up less space. And when you’re done with them, simply fold them up and put them in the garbage, again taking up minimal space.

PTT: Are the packages well-received with consumers?
McDonnell: Consumers love the flexible packaging which allows the pouches to be conveniently stored into small areas, especially when storage space aboard a boat is very limited.

PTT: Any new and exciting package innovations in the works at For Life Products?
McDonnell: Yes, next month in partnership with Berlin Packaging and Studio 111, “REJUVENATE OUTDOOR” will launch another innovative, unique & patented design packaging concept that we are excited to share with PTT in the near future.
