Innovative New York-based Manufacturer and Supplier of Security Products Expands Product Line to Offer Companies Seeking to Bolster their Shipping and Inventory Management Security Protocols

Cambridge Security Seals (CSS), a leading American security seals manufacturer and supplier, officially launched Iris™, its new multicolored tamper-evident tape, a fully customizable product designed to increase both the visibility and deterrence of unauthorized access and theft along a company’s supply chain. The new tape expands CSS’s breadth of security-enhancing offerings that directly address supply chain risks of contamination and pilferage and secure warehouses and standing inventories.

“Iris™ Tamper-Evident Tape offers a security-improving value to the more than 30 industries we serve,” explains Claudia Coetzer, Business Development Manager of CSS. “The ability to customize a 6-hue rainbow-styled barrier tape provides an enhanced security tool for businesses to address the rise in US cargo crime as well as inventory, warehousing, retail shrinkage, and other significant points of supply chain pain.”

Iris™ Tamper-Evident Tape can be implemented directly into or in addition to existing supply chain protocols, including securing shipping cartons or individual boxes, cargo crates, pallets, envelopes, security bags, or other value-holding containers. Like conventional security tape, Iris™ tape is designed to display the word “OPENED” upon being removed, so that it can never be reapplied by unauthorized parties to disguise the breach without this indication.

The brilliant multicolored feature of the Iris™ Tamper-Evident Tape offers a convenient and highly visible alternative to identify, group, or categorize products and shipments. Perfect for all volumes, this unique-at-first-glance tape is particularly advantageous when fewer customizations and smaller quantities are required.

Tamper-evident labels have become a rapidly growing product within industries seeking to add yet another layer of tamper-resistance and theft security to their conventional protocols. The industry applications for Iris™ Tamper-Evident Tape are extremely widespread, ranging from third-party logistics companies (3PL) and retailers to consumer product, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and medical supply companies.

“Businesses that regularly package, transport, store, and distribute have found adding customized security tape to their operations to be a most cost-effective and valuable complement to existing sealing and security processes to deter unauthorized access,” explains Coetzer.

CSS has already begun shipping the multicolored Iris™ Tamper-Evident Tape to customers in North America. To learn more about this and other supply chain security products, please visit www.CambridgeSeals.com or contact Business Development Manager Claudia Coetzer at (845) 520-4111.
