Rollem International’s Semi-Slitter Kiss Cutting System Automates Slitting for Sign and Decal Companies in the United States and Canada

The Semi-Slitter is the industry standard for partial slitting of PSA liner stocks or face slitting of pressure sensitive products. These machines can be found in many screen printing, graphics, and industrial print shops. The following companies utilize Semi-Slitting systems to improve the accuracy of their PSA slitting processes while also increasing production turn-around times:

  • Identity Group, Brunswick, ME installed a 24” Semi-Slitter
  • Traffic Safety Supply Company, Portland, OR installed a 30” model
  • Decalcorama Inc. of Quebec Canada installed a 36” model
  • Allied Graphics of St. Michael, NM installed a 42” model

Manufactured in Sheffield, UK, a key design feature is the 2.5-inch hardened concentric roller which stabilizes and supports the cutting tools along the width of any sheet. This positive control eliminates high and low cutting points ensuring precision and consistent depth of cuts,  sheet after sheet. Production is greatly increased with the ability to add multiple slitting heads on the roller.

These companies can slit any material from fine paper stocks to heavy gauge plastics, with the same accuracy sheet after sheet.  With a margin of accuracy within 1/10,000th of an inch and speeds up to 26,000 sheets per hour, the SS guarantees higher profits on all PSA partial slitting needs.
