Nobelus Launches Entry-Level Komfi® Thermal Laminator

Nobelus, a long-time supplier of thermal laminating systems for the general commercial print space, is releasing a new laminator designed specifically for lower volume printshops and commercial printers that want to bring lamination in-house for B2 and B3 sheet sizes. Engineered by one of the most respected laminator manufacturers, the Komfi® Junior 52 combines the world-class technology of Komfi machinery with an intuitive, user-friendly design that is perfect for printers who have limited experience with lamination.

This laminating system requires no external air supply, supporting quick installation in facilities that are not currently set up for lamination. It features a user-friendly interface with built-in diagnostics that enable operators of any experience level to quickly view the machine’s status and troubleshoot issues immediately. Automatic functions include a top-suction belt feeder that pauses if a sheet is not detected, sheet overlap control to ensure accuracy and prevent damage to rollers and burst separation with a built-in perforator and skew wheel to accommodate BOPP laminates.

As an entry-level thermal laminator, the Junior 52 is designed with several functions that help ensure each lamination run produces high-quality results. A de-curling system is included to keep substrate materials flat, an adjustable spread roller keeps wrinkles from forming in the laminate, and a zero-overlap feature supports the processing of thicker sheets.
