New Emergency Auto-Lift Automatically Raises Heat Tunnel to Safely Dissipate Heat

PharmafillTM HT6B Heat Tunnel Safeguards Products and Equipment from Damage

The PharmafillTM HT6B Heat Tunnel from packaging machinery manufacturer Deitz Co., Wall, NJ (www.Deitzco.com), includes a new Emergency Auto-Lift (EAL) system as standard. Upgrading a prior E-Stop design, the new Emergency Auto-Lift system features a proprietary current sensing relay that automatically raises the heat tunnel high above the conveyor in the event of a power outage or other event causing a change in voltage. With the heat tunnel raised, the new system safely dissipates the heat to prevent damage to the equipment and to any products in process. When the proper voltage is restored, settings are automatically recalled for quick return to operation.

Ideal for contract packagers and food and pharmaceutical manufacturers, the Emergency Auto-Lift also includes a clever bypass switch that freezes the heat tunnel in the raised position for an extra layer of safety when access is required during operation. In addition, the sensitivity may be adjusted on-site to trigger the lifting action at a complete loss of 110 VAC power or at a preferred amount of voltage drop.

The automated heat tunnel operates at either 208 volts or 240 volts with dual heating elements for fast, efficient heat generation. Tamper-evident neck bands in all shrinkband materials are neatly sealed on bottles, jars, tins, cans, and other containers at speeds up to 100 per minute. Companion heat-resistant conveyors are also available.
