Emergent Vision Technologies Introduces the Pinnacle LZ-16KG5 100GigE Line Scan Camera

Emergent Vision Technologies, a pioneer in high-speed GigE Vision cameras and vision technologies, introduces a new 100GigE line scan camera, the Pinnacle LZ-16KG5. Through its 100GigE QSFP28 interface, the camera reaches a top single line rate of 400KHz and a trilinear rate of 133KHz.

Available in monochrome and color versions, the camera features the 16Kx16 Gpixel GL5016 CMOS image sensor, with a 5 x 5 µm pixel cell size and an 81.92 mm sensor scanning width. Both GigE Vision and GenICam compliant, the camera allows cable lengths from 1 m up to 10 km without costly fiber converters/repeaters.

 Maximize the Benefits of 100GigE

Emergent Vision Technologies has also introduced the TLZ-9KG5 time delay integration (TDI) 100GigE line scan camera, which is based on the Gpixel 9K 256 TDI GLT5009BSI CMOS image sensor. The new TLZ-9KG5 allows end users to reach line speeds up to 608 kHz and trilinear rates up to 200 kHz at 9K resolution. This model is also available in monochrome and color options while still being GigE Vision and GenICam compliant. Beyond the 100GigE, Emergent also offers 25GigE (Accel series) and 10GigE (Pace LR series) line scan cameras.

Emergent Vision Technologies also has its own line of network interface cards (NICs) to help customers get the most out of their ultra-high-speed cameras. The 10GigE, 25GigE, and 100GigE NICs all deliver optimal performance for any video stream with minimal system memory utilization, along with low-latency and low-jitter capabilities. Emergent NICs also feature real-time, front-panel 5 V TTL trigger input for added flexibility, along with support for the GigE Vision Streaming Protocol (GVSP), Windows and Linux operating systems, GPUDirect, and camera multiplexing and multicasting with switches.

“The nearest competing solution to this camera requires use of multiple frame grabbers compared to the single 100GigE NIC that Emergent offers,” said Ilett. “With the Emergent dual-port NIC, two LZ-16KG5 cameras can be supported on the same card.”
