The Best of Bartelt in Action in Booth S-3528 at PACK EXPO 2024

Bartelt will demonstrate how its new MAG Series FFS-R and BPM-6 horizontal form fill seal technologies add efficiency and productivity to your next packaging application.

For the best in horizontal form fill seal packaging, your best bet is to add Bartelt to your PACK EXPO 2024 itinerary in Chicago!

Bartelt, a ProMach brand, is exhibiting three machines, including the launch of its new MAG Series FFS-R rotary horizontal form fill and seal machine and the new BPM-6 pre-made rotary machine, in booth S-3528 at PACK EXPO 2024, November 3-6, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Bartelt is a manufacturer of best-in-class solutions for pouching and cartoning systems for numerous industries, including food and confectionery, beverage, home and personal care, and others. Bartelt is a pioneer in the horizontal form fill and seal industry, having developed numerous patented designs from its very first machine in the 1940s to its latest magnetic linear motion control pouching systems.

MAG Series FFS-R

Leading off Bartelt’s product lineup is the new MAG Series FFS-R, a rotary horizontal form fill and seal machine that is designed for optimal flexibility and efficiency in pouch packaging.

The machine’s modular design allows for fast, easy changeovers, reducing downtime and improving productivity. Multiple heat-sealing stations and optional seal-cooling assemblies create high quality, non-leak pouches. Dynamic product settling is accomplished from the XTS track with magnetic linear motion technology, which shakes the pouch from side-to-side during filling. This improves product distribution within the pouch and reduces contamination in the seal area; lightweight magnetic bag clamp enhances the precision and speed of pouch handling for faster throughput and operation efficiency.

At the show, the MAG Series will be running film from CL&D (https://www.cldgraphics.com/), a ProMach brand, as well as collaborating with Watttron (https://watttron.de/?lang=en), a German-based company in the development of innovative digital heating systems for the packaging industry.

The MAG Series can produce up to 150 pouches per minute, is engineered for a variety of popular packaging styles, including:

  • 3- or 4-sided fin seal
  • DOY stand-up pouch
  • Gusset bottom
  • Tandem fin seal
  • Zipper pouch

Ideal industries include:

  • Snack foods
  • Candy and confectionary
  • Cheese
  • Pet care
  • Household chemicals
  • Agriculture
  • Nutraceuticals
  • Dried meats and fruits

BMP-6

The BPM-6 is a six-station rotary pre-made pouch packaging machine that is ideal for high-performance applications that require maximum output at a low cost. Its small footprint also makes it a smart choice for companies with minimal available space. This machine runs a maximum of 30 pouches per minute, making it ideal for customers with production requirements between 1-5 million units per year.

The BPM-6 is engineered with versatility in mind. Equipped with six stations for pouch infeed, opening, filling, settling, pre-heating, sealing and discharge, the machine handles a variety of pouch types with precision and ease.

FL 1.7

Bartelt is the master distributor of FLtècnics, a leading manufacturer of horizontal form fill and seal packaging solutions in both rotary and walking beam styles. At the show, Bartlet will be demonstrating the capabilities of the FLtècnics FL 1.7 HFFS. This machine’s modular design enables users to run multiple pouch styles in simplex or duplex versions with different package sizes, which results in a highly versatile and flexible solution.

This machine produces 45-50 pouches per minute, and is capable of handling pouching sizes ranging from 85-170 mm in width, and 100-300 mm in height, making it ideal for larger corner spout applications for the beverage industry.

In addition to the standard features, the FL 1.7 HFFS offers several customizable options, including zipper and spout applicators, multiple filling stations, and solid filling systems for powders, granules, and pieces to help users develop the ultimate machine for their packaging line. The BMP-6 and the FL 1.7 will be running film from CL&D.

Parts and Service Kiosk

A strong, reliable parts and service program is a key component at Bartelt. At the show Bartelt will have a kiosk devoted solely to parts and service. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about Bartelt’s parts and service program and how it can benefit you for the life of your machine.

To see these three packaging solutions in action and learn how they can add efficiency to your next packaging line, be sure to add Bartelt in booth S-3528 to your PACK EXPO 2024 itinerary.
