Two New Oriental Motor Products Improve Motion Control Precision

Oriental Motor recently introduced compact magnetic encoders and standalone rotary encoders that can make motion control more precise and reliable:

Compact Encoders for PKP Series

New compact magnetic encoders have been released for the PKP Series stepper motors.  These are pre-assembled for quality and convenience, and the new compact magnetic encoders are robust and work in harsh environments. The new magnetic encoders are available with 2-phase and 5-phase stepper motors.

• 2-Phase: 200, 400, or 1,000 P/R
• 5-Phase: 500 or 1,000 P/R

Due to customer demand for higher resolutions, a new high resolution magnetic encoder (1,000 P/R) is also available. With the high resolution encoder (1,000 P/R), the detection accuracy is improved to ±0.36°. Voltage (TTL equivalent) and line driver output types are available.

Standalone Rotary Encoders

Oriental Motor has also heard repeated requests for a compact rotary encoder that can operate without the motor, so they released a standalone magnetic encoder that’s small, thin, and light.  High encoder resolutions are available in two output types.

• Outer diameter ϕ30 mm
• 1000 P/R or 2000 P/R incremental type encoder
• Voltage output or line driver output types
