Orion Packaging Systems to Display at Pack Expo

Orion Packaging Systems, a division of ProMach, has made stretch wrapping pallets safer, easier and faster than ever before, thanks to its LoPro Drag Chain Conveyor Pallet Wrapping System. This innovative design will be on display in booth No. C-2826 at PACK EXPO 2019, Sept. 23-25, in Las Vegas.

The floor mounted LoPro Drag Chain Conveyor Pallet Wrapping System is designed for safe and efficient loading of pallets with a pallet jack, electric walkie or forklift. At the heart of the system is a 28 RPM MA-DX with an industry-leading 260% pre-stretch carriage, which combines with the low-profile triple strand chain conveyor. The floor mounted conveyor smoothly and efficiently moves up to three 2,500-pound pallets.

The LoPro Drag Chain Conveyor System has fast become popular with industries like beverage distribution that often stretch wrap several hundred pallets per shift. The LoPro brings this industry added efficiencies by being able to load three pallets at a time. When the pallets are loaded, the LoPro moves them forward toward the stretch-wrapping machine at a steady pace of up to 60 feet per minute to prevent the loads from shifting or swaying. As the pallets approach the wrap zone, the system automatically separates and individually wraps each.

Scales for weighing pallets can be positioned before or after the wrapping station, which gives customers added flexibility in setting up their line. Photo eyes along the conveyor monitor each pallet’s location.

Because the LoPro can accept three pallets at one time, it can be operated by just one person, which saves on labor costs. The LoPro is a very versatile machine.”

After the three pallets are individually wrapped, they can be consolidated back together and be ready for pickup.
