Matthews Marking Systems to Demonstrate Inkjet and Laser Coding Solutions for the Baking Industry at IBIE 2019

Matthews Marking Systems, a Matthews International company and global supplier of marking and coding solutions, will be exhibiting at IBIE in Las Vegas, September 8-11 in booth #2708. Matthews will be demonstrating the coding capabilities of thermal inkjet (TIJ) and laser technologies onto various substrates, allowing attendees to see the versatility of their products in real time.

VIAjet™ L-Series Thermal Inkjet Printer
With a variety of ink types and colors available, the VIAjet L-Series thermal inkjet printer is a clean, fast and cost-effective alternative to thermal transfer and adhesive labels. It is ideal for marking and coding variable data in both primary packaging and industrial applications, imprinting onto paper, chipboard, corrugated and plastics. Leveraging the same cartridge technology found in desktop printers, the L-Series provides high native print resolution (600 x 600 dots per inch) at speeds up to 1,200 feet per minute (366 meters per minute)—nearly twice as fast as competitive thermal inkjet systems. Printheads are available in 0.5-, 1- or 2- inch (12.7-, 25.4-, or 50.8-millimeter) print heights.

eSolarMark+ CO2 Laser
The eSolarMark+ CO2 laser coder is a world-class marking solution for high-speed bakery packaging lines and can operate in either static or dynamic mode. Because it requires no ink or consumables, and is virtually maintenance-free, the laser offers a low total cost of ownership and is an ideal alternative to coding with inkjet. Clean and environmentally friendly, the unit produces vector-quality, permanent coding of alpha-numeric text, date and time codes, serial numbers, barcodes and 2D codes.
